Our school will be piloting an anonymous online bullying reporting system called Stop!t.
By using Stop!t, students can anonymously report bullying or harassment situations at school that they see or hear about without having the fear of being seen in the school office. I will receive the anonymous message via an online document and will have the ability to email/text the student back (still anonymously) to ask clarifying questions about the situations reported to me.
Students who are able have downloaded the free Stop!t app onto their phones today in PE class to learn how to submit an anonymous report to me. If students do not have a Smartphone on which to download the free app, they can access the reporting system by going to appweb.stopitsolutions.com/ and click on the tab Stop!t Web App, then enter the access code HMSWARRIORS. Should you not want your child to have this app on his/her phone, you can easily delete the app.
Read more about the free Stop!t reporting program at stopitcyberbully.com/k12/. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
